It’s Christmas Day! (A bit early I realize; I marked all my gifts “from Santa” but apparently they didn’t believe me). And while it’s still December through New Year’s, I thought it would be fun to do a holiday-themed post. So I’ve gathered up some of the prettiest Christmas decorating ideas for you! Decorating your front porch for Christmas can take your seasonal style from festive to glamourous and beyond, regardless of whether or not anyone is going to see it (but it sure does look pretty when they drive or walk by!). This year we’re getting super boho with: an evergreen wreath, faux succulents and ferns, and gold mercury glass trees that look like ice! Let’s get started: Read on!
My final review of 2016 this one is also late but oh well; better late than never. The last few months of the year are always the most hectic and also the time when I start to reevaluate my life and how I can improve it in the future. While 2016 was a very good year for me, 2017 is already shaping up to be even better!
Recently, we decided we were tired of having a bulky wooden entertainment center that completely dominated our living and dining room furniture And so, with some change from Craigslist and an afternoon spent at Home Depot , we managed to replace our furniture and create a fresh look with: sleek white couches, marble coffee tables, and swaying pendant lamps! We certainly haven’t regretted this decision; read on to see what we did!
We first showed you this bedroom make almost two years ago on 12 /20/19 . And wow! We really hit the mark with everything it could have been, right? Well… maybe not. This bedroom has gone through many incarnations in its short life so far and is yet another one I’ll be sharing today.
The living room is probably my favorite room in our house. It’s where all of us gather to watch movies or TV shows together when we want to relax, or are entertaining guests when we are feeling more formal. Either way, this room is well-used and deserves some attention every once in a while if you want to keep it looking fresh and new year after year!
One of my favorite things about fall is the feeling in the air. We have just finished surviving the hottest summer on record in Southern California, so when this time of year comes along I am ready to break out my sweaters well, at least put them back in rotation since they’ve been hiding in storage all summer long. But you know what else is great about fall? The changing leaves, Halloween decor (if you’re into that; I sort of prefer Christmas), pumpkin spice lattes (apparently they are still a thing?), and Thanksgiving decorations (not exactly traditional for our home country but hey, why not). And while we won ‘t actually celebrate Thanksgiving here in France, I do love getting into the spirit of the holidays! So today’s post is a curated selection of my favorite fall decorations from around our apartment.
