Trice has conducted extensive research in film and media culture, exploring theories related to feminist and decolonial approaches to film studies and research. Her articles and essays have been published in academic journals; and she is currently working on writing her first book that examines alternative film culture in Manila.

Jasmine Trice, an FSU English Department alumna and accomplished scholar, has published 11 academic journal articles and essays pertaining to film and media culture studies. Her focus lies on feminist and decolonial approaches to film studies as well as transcultural collaboration; with particular interest given to Philippines-related research for her dissertation and teaching experiences while conducting that work in Manila.
