What is the purpose of a Valtrex tablet?

Shingles:- The virus that causes chickenpox, VZV, reactivates to create shingles. A painful rash that usually appears on one side of the body is brought on by the infection. Tablets of Valtrex can lessen the discomfort and length of the rash and guard against complications.

There are 500 mg and 1000 mg doses of Valtrex pills available. The condition being treated will determine the dosage and length of the course of action.

The dosage for treating genital herpes is 1 gramme (1000 mg) twice daily for 7–10 days. The suggested dosage for cold sores is 2 grammes (2000 mg) taken twice day for one day. One gramme (1000 mg) taken three times each day for seven days is the suggested dosage for shingles.

It is recommended to take Valtrex tablets with food and lots of water. It’s crucial to adhere to the time and dose that your doctor has advised. Even if you feel better, do not discontinue taking Valtrex without first talking to your doctor.
